Our journey began in Kathmandu, where we set off with excitement, anticipation, and a dash of uncertainty. Chame – The Gateway to Manang
After Besishahar, we made our way towards Chame. The ride was scenic, with views of lush forests, quaint villages, and towering mountains. As we ascended further, the air became thinner and the roads more treacherous. It was here that we truly began to appreciate the importance of a dependable vehicle. Its crystal-clear waters reflected the sky above, creating a breathtaking scene that was worth every bit of the challenging journey.
Another highlight of our trip was the Milarepa Memorial Park, dedicated to the famous Buddhist saint Milarepa. The legend of Milarepa, a renowned figure in Tibetan Buddhism, resonates deeply in this area, where his teachings of non-violence and spiritual enlightenment are still practiced today. At 3,650 meters above sea level, Nawal offers views of the Annapurna and Pisang peaks, as well as access to the centuries-old Guru Rimpoche cave.
